This 5-ingredient smoothie is packed with nutrition, including protein, fiber, iron and vitamin C. It also takes about 5 minutes to make and will keep you full and fueled! I love this smoothie because it contains all of the components of a balanced plate (carbs, protein, fat and nonstarchy veggies) in one serving. Also, the clementine and the pineapple offer vitamin C, which can increase the absorption of iron (supplied by spinach), so it's a great example of how to pair foods together for increased nutrition. If you want to add even more nutrients, I recommend using this as a base for a smoothie bowl and topping with nuts, seeds, nut/seed butter, fruit, oats, granola, cocoa nibs, shredded coconut or any other topping you prefer!
